A floor plan is a true-to-scale representation of the spatial layout of a building or flat from a bird's eye view. It shows walls, doors, windows as well as room sizes and functions and serves to better visualise the room structure. Floor plans are a key element in property marketing and help prospective buyers to assess the usability and design options of a property.
These drawings can also be used to calculate the living space in accordance with DIN 277.
